Assessment and reporting
A report card is emailed for each semester of
the school year to advise parents of their children’s progress – academically,
socially, emotionally and physically. It
provides a summary of the various student learnings, as well as the teacher’s
assessment of how well a student achieves the various outcomes of the school curriculum. Assessment is derived using a variety of
techniques including observation, work samples, tests and discussions.
Parent teacher interviews will be undertaken twice
a year. Parents are encouraged to speak
with their child’s teacher at any time about any concerns regarding learning
and make an appointment with your child’s class teacher at a negotiated time.
