Internet

Mt Gravatt East State School students will use the Internet to support and enhance the achievement of curriculum goals in the contexts of their daily classroom activities. All parents are requested to sign an Internet Access Permission Form upon enrolling their child.  All students are supervised when accessing the Internet and are given clear and strict guidelines.

Information Communication Technology

Approximately 100 computers, 60 iPads, 15 laptops and portable scanners are available for students to use. This includes a computer lab, to accommodate a whole class, media hubs in the Resource Centre and Information Station and Interactive White Boards in all classrooms, where the students have preferred access to iPads.

All our computers have anti-virus programs and we use filters for Internet use as required by Education Queensland.  Students must not access or interfere with another person’s files or folders.  Students must not copy program files, change any person’s settings, or use school resources for any illegal, immoral or unauthorized purposes. All classrooms have internet and Wifi access and all students are required to sign an Internet Use Agreement as required by the Education Act.
